PAUSE

Before you step inside the humble brick façade at St. Patrick’s Church, imagine it’s the early 1900s. Rt. Rev. John Rogers just arrived from Dublin to shepherd the largest flock of Irishmen on the West Coast when only a year later, the 1906 earthquake makes the church crumble to the ground.

Rebuilt less than a year after the earthquake, St. Patrick’s is still to this day known as “the most Irish church in America.” With its stunning Neo-Gothic architecture and Connemara-imported marble, St. Patrick’s Church is a time capsule of Irish pride nestled in the heart of the Yerba Buena neighborhood.
