“We are beyond thrilled to bring the best that Broadway has to offer to the Bay Area,” said Rainier Koeners, BroadwaySF’s managing director. “This season contains something for everyone and offers the type of magic that can only be found on a Broadway stage.”

Here’s a quick look at the 2022-2023 lineup:

Jagged Little Pill, Oct. 11-Nov. 6, Golden Gate Theatre – Alanis Morrissette’s chart-topping 1995 album of the same name is the starting point for this production about a perfectly imperfect American family. The Tony-winning book is by Diablo Cody (Juno).

Disney’s Frozen, Nov. 18-Dec. 30, Orpheum Theatre – The soundtrack that you’ve come to know from the Oscar-winning film has been expanded with a dozen new numbers by the film’s songwriters, Oscar winner Kristen Anderson-Lopez and EGOT winner Robert Lopez. Frozen is filled with sensational special effects, stunning sets and costumes, and powerhouse performances.

Beetlejuice, Dec. 7-Dec. 31, Golden Gate Theatre – Based on Tim Burton’s classic film from 1988, Beetlejuice features the “Ghost-with-the-most” in a comedic musical that’s really about family, love, and making the most of every Day-O.

Dear Evan Hansen, Jan. 24-Feb. 19, Orpheum Theatre – The deeply personal and profoundly contemporary musical about a teen looking to fit in is the winner of six Tony Awards, including Best Musical. It also grabbed the Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album. Dear Evan Hansen features book by Tony Award winner Steven Levenson; score by Grammy, Tony and Academy Award winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul; and direction by four-time Tony Award nominee Michel Greif.

Mean Girls, Jan. 31-Feb. 26, Golden Gate Theatre – Tina Fey provides the book, based on her 2004 film about a naïve newbie and her love-hate relationship with her high school’s popular girls. “Mean Girls delivers with immense energy, a wicked sense of humor and joyful inside-jokery,” raved New York Magazine.

Six, Feb. 21-April 9, Orpheum Theatre – The six wives of Henry VIII remix 500 years of historical heartbreak into a celebration of 21st century girl power. This new, global sensation “totally rules,” according to the New York Times. The Washington Post declared it was “Exactly the kind of energizing, inspirational illumination this town aches for!”

Tina – The Tina Turner Musical, Aug. 1-27, Golden Gate Theater – The Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll’s inspiring journey is told through the songs we’ve all come to love – from Proud Mary to What’s Love Got to Do with It. Tina was written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Katori Hall and directed by internationally acclaimed Phyllida Lloyd.

The Orpheum Theatre is located at 1182 Market St., and the Golden Gate Theatre at 1 Taylor St. For more information, visit broadwaysf.com.
